Organizations started by kids

Think you're too young to start your own organization? Hmm... maybe you'll reconsider after seeing what these kids have done.

Calling all Texans who want to be a host home!!!!  It is too late for this year, but it's not for next summer!
Hosting an Exchange Delegate is FUN!

If you live in Texas and would like to host an exchange delegate from Japan, contact Wendy Wallace,Volunteer Coordinator for Texas Global Education by calling 817-994-3335 or email her at wendyandbryan@verizon.net.

The program is through Texas Global Education and Cultural Exchange, an organization formed by retired 4-H specialist, Dan James, who wanted to keep the Japanese and Greek Exchange Programs going. Hosting dates are somewhere close to July 23 - Aug 19.  They're trying to get all of the delegates for Texas placed with host families by the end of May.  The application process with interview requires a bit of time so call as soon as you read this if you are interested!!!

      Meet my friend, Hikaru!

She was with us in 2005 from July 24 to August 20th.  We had tons of fun!  The exchange was through 4-H International, another part of an organization I belonged to.  I was involved in 4-H for 3 years and loved it!  I was president elect of Rope~n~Ride, an equine-only group in our county. Find out more about my exchange experience by clicking on the  picture of me and Hikaru.

I want you to meet my friend, HIKARU!  She is from Japan and stayed with me for thirty days two summers ago!
